Chardonnay Ostium 2023 – Luigi Vico

White wines in Piedmont? Gladly, among native and international grape varieties, there's plenty to choose from!
Let me introduce you to the Luigi Vico farm, whose roots are well established here in Piedmont.
On his mother's side in Serralunga, on his father's side in the Roero, both families always dedicated to vineyards and orchards.
And here is an "international" in Piedmont. We're talking about Chardonnay, which here in Piedmont has found an ideal terroir to express its intense aromas and freshness.
Chardonnay Ostium 2023, a young, vibrant version, offering us floral scents, white flowers, reaching notes that take us to yellow fruit...
As it matures, it surprises with vanilla, buttery, and honey notes.
On the palate, it does not disappoint: flowers and fruit return, but beyond that, it gives us a pleasant sapidity, good acidity,
an astonishing harmony and a beautiful persistence.
Perfect as an aperitif, but not only that, it pairs well with appetizers and fish dishes, but also with white meats.
Perfect with vegetarian dishes, vegetable risottos, with fresh cheeses and even medium-aged ones.
